Research 2009-present, Researcher, " The development of the use of history of science in science lessons" project, The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). Has been working on developing reform-based curriculum materials for secondary school chemistry. History and nature of science are used as tools to attain educational objectives in the frame of scientific literacy. Collaborators are science educators and in-service science teachers at secondary level. 2006-2007, Researcher, “Evaluation and development of school-faculty collaboration in teacher education programs” project, The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). Evaluated the Faculty-School Partnership model in teacher preparation. Employed participant action research methodology and gathered qualitative data from stakeholders with key role in the model. 2001-2005, Ph.D. Dissertation Research in Science Education, Florida State University, Tallahassee Analyzed a women’s program in terms of its impact in encouraging undergraduate women to science, mathematics and engineering majors. Employed mixed methodology approach and methods, with a particular emphasis on CHAT (theory). Co-major professors: Dr. Sherry A. Southerland and Dr. Penny J. Gilmer. Link to Dissertation here.
