Dr. Devrim Dumludag received his Ph.D. from Bogazici University, Istanbul. His dissertation is about the role of institutions (such as rule of law, corruption, political and economic stability, civil rights etc.) on foreign direct investment flows into developing economies.

Dr. Dumludag is currently a visiting scholar at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He is running a project with Dr. Ozge Gokdemir (Istanbul University) on the relationship between relative income hypothesis and subjective well being, the project is on progress and focuses on immigrant groups in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Dumludag’s main areas of interest are Economic Development and Institutions, Subjective Well-Being and Relative Income Hypothesis, Behavioral Economics and Foreign Direct Investment and Institutions in Developing Economies.
