Lectures and readings stress the analysis of the results of policy implications. The topics deal with the major economic issues confronting developing countries, not the third world countries. The paper should be between 10 and 20 pages double-spaced, with standard font and margins and also include an “abstract.” In preparing the papers, the students are not restricted to the course reading list materials. The writing guide will help you for preparing your papers. You may download the document from the department web page (“Writing Guide for Term Papers and Theses” http://mimoza.marmara.edu.tr/~economics/webpage/WritingGuide_V1_2006.pdf There will be also a final exam. Grading consists of class participation, the preparation and presentation of term paper, the outline of the paper, final exam and peer discussion.
