Biography

Associate Prof. Mujdat Soyturk

Mujdat Soyturk is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Marmara University. He received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering in 2007 and 2002 respectively from Istanbul Technical University. His current research projects focus on Vehicular Networks, V2X Communications, Intelligent Transportation Systems and IoT. Prof. Soyturk areas of expertise include Wireless Networks since 1999 and Connected Cars, V2X Communications and Systems since 2007. In addition to the network related courses, he is teaching the course "Vehicular Networks and Intelligent Transportation Systems". Performance evaluation of the various network types are the strongest skills in addition to statistical analysis of the performance results. In 2013, he founded the Vehicular Networking and Intelligent Transportation Systems Research Group, VeNIT-RG, in the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Marmara University. Since then, he is directing the research group with many research projects and directing thesis on V2X Communications and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Prof. Soyturk directed many projects on Connected Cas and V2X Communications. He is a member of 5GTR Forum Academic Board. He is also the coordinator of "V2X Communications and Connected Cars Working Group" in the "Smart Mobility Clustering" of Turkey. He is serving as editor and reviewer in the scientific journals. He also served as Technical Program Committee member in more than 100 international conferences.

Doç.Dr. Müjdat Soytürk

Marmara Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Bölümünde öğretim üyesidir. İ.T.Ü. Bilgisayar Mühendisliğinden Yüksek Lisans derecesini 2002 yılında, doktora derecesini 2007 yılında almıştır. İlgi alanları Kablosuz Ağlar, Araçsal Ağlar, V2X İletişimi, Akıllı Ulaşım Sistemleri (AUS) ve IoT'dir. 1999'dan itibaren Kablosuz Ağlar konusunda, 2007 yılından itibaren Bağlantılı Araçlar, V2X İletişimi ve Sistemleri konusunda çalışmaktadır. Marmara Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi Bilgisayar Mühendisliği bölümünde 2013 yılında oluşturduğu Araştırma Grubu (Araçsal Ağlar ve Akıllı Ulaşım Sistemleri Araştırma Grubu) ile V2X iletişimi ve AUS konularında araştırma yapmakta, tez ve proje çalışmaları yürütmektedir. Bağlantılı Araçlar ve V2X iletişimi konusunda yürüttüğü çok sayıda proje bulunmaktadır. 5GTR Forum Akademik Kurul üyesidir. TÜBİTAK Akıllı Hareketlilik Kümelenmesinde V2X İletişimi Çalışma Grubuna liderlik etmektedir. Ayrıca, Araçsal Ağlar ve Akıllı Ulaşım Sistemleri dersini vermektedir. Uluslararası bilimsel dergilerde editörlük ve hakemlik yapmaktadır. 100'ün üzerinde uluslararası bilimsel konferansın Bilim Kurulunda (hakemlikler hariç) yer almıştır.
